Between the Margins Zooming the camera feed
It is now possible to zoom the camera feed, which can aid in scanning barcodes that are not easily accessible or very small.
Zooming the camera feed relies on the availability of the zoom constraint, which not all browsers support.
Safari on iOS supports it as of version 17.4, Firefox does not currently support. Chrome, and Chromium-based browsers such as Samsung Internet have supported zooming since version 87.
Zooming can also be toggled by double-tapping the camera feed.
Revamped camera HUD
We’ve revamped the camera HUD controls to be more intuitive and added animations to the icons.
The animations respect the user’s reduced motion preference—if the user has reduced motion enabled, the animations are disabled.
